Share your location
Live, as exactly or as roughly as you like. We never see where you are.
Let family or friends see where you are, live, for as long as you choose. It's end-to-end encrypted like the rest of the chat: we never see where you are.
- As exactly or as roughly as you like: your exact spot, within about 1 mile or 5 miles, your town, your city or area, or only your country or region. You choose for each chat.
- Blurred on your phone: a rough position is worked out on your phone before it's encrypted and sent, so your exact spot never leaves it unless you choose Exact.
- Stop when you like: Pause sharing at any time, and the others see that you've stopped.
To start, open a chat's menu, choose Live locations, then Share my location. For a group that shares live locations on a map, go to New chat > Family locations.
