Automatic backups
Your chats backed up by themselves, encrypted with your password.
A backup is one file, encrypted with a backup password only you know, that you keep yourself. We never see it.
- By itself: in the Android and Windows apps, go to Settings > Chat backup > Back up by itself, then choose every day or every week. Backups are made while Hushpiper is open, and the last three are kept.
- Keep one somewhere else: on Android, backups are kept in Hushpiper's own folder, which goes if you uninstall the app. Now and then, use Save a copy to put one on a USB stick or your own cloud drive.
- Restoring adds what's missing and never removes anything.
Hidden chats aren't included. A new device also gets your recent history from your other devices by itself.
